Introduction

Hi, my name is Bruce Sallan and I've been a full-time single Dad for most of my boy's lives.  Their mom is no longer in their lives (a story of its own), so when I say full-time I mean it.  I've been writing a column about being a single dad, about dating after divorce, dealing with a teenager, adding a step-mom into the picture (as of Dec. 27, 2008) and all the events that occur, year-round, for a local paper for several years.  My recent self-syndicating efforts, to date, have currently extended my reach and column to a larger audience of over 30 papers and sites in 16 states.

My job as a dad has been a truly wonderful growing experience and challenge for all of us.  It's my contention that the man's point-of-view is often ignored in our media with plenty of magazines, articles and Oprah/Ellen shows devoted to almost exclusively women (I don't count Dr. Phil).  I believe women want to hear from us and men need to have their voice expressed as well.

Google me to know more of my background, or google "A Dad's Point-Of-View."
